Behavioural and Health Gate

The employer's requirement that a dog meet a recognised behaviour standard and basic health, vaccination and parasite control before it is admitted.

Definition

The employer's requirement that a dog meet a recognised behaviour standard and basic health, vaccination and parasite control before it is admitted.

Part of the Roch Dog Workplace Standard (RDWS-01) · Published by Roch Dog

The requirement, operated by the employer, that a dog meet a recognised behavioural standard and basic health conditions, including vaccination and parasite control, before it is admitted to the workplace.

Any recognised national scheme is accepted, for example a Kennel Club Good Citizen scheme, its national equivalent, or a veterinary sign-off. No single national scheme is mandated, because the standard holds in every country.

Roch Interpretation

The standard requires the gate to exist and be applied; it does not pick a single country's certificate. The employer runs the gate, Roch checks that it is real.
