Definition
A refundable sum held against dog damage and returned in full where none occurs, with assistance and service animals exempt.
Part of the Roch Dog Residence Standard (RDRS-01) · Published by Roch Dog
A refundable sum held as security against damage caused by a dog and returned in full where no such damage occurs, administered in line with applicable law and any local cap.
A sum that is not refundable, or is retained regardless of damage, is not a damage deposit. Assistance and service animals are exempt from any deposit.
Roch Interpretation
A real damage deposit comes back in full if there is no damage. A sum kept regardless is not a deposit, and assistance dogs are never charged one.
